Restaurant hiring never stops
- Turnover that never lets up. In quick service, crew members have to be replaced almost every week.
- Candidates who apply everywhere. The same candidate applies to several brands. Whoever calls back first hires them.
- Managers on the floor. The restaurant manager is running the shift. They don't have time to call every candidate between rushes.
How the TalentReef integration works
- You authorize access. A TalentReef admin approves the connection from Delectus.
- Applications come in. Jobs, applications and resumes are imported automatically, read-only.
- The agent texts candidates. Availability, preferred restaurant, start date: everything is checked by text.
What the TalentReef integration brings to your restaurants
TalentReef is a recruiting platform built for hourly roles, especially in restaurants and hospitality. It gathers the applications from your locations. Delectus adds what it takes to win the race for candidates: each application is read and ranked as it arrives, and the ones you shortlist are contacted right away.
For a crew member role, the resume matters less than availability. So the agent starts with the questions that decide: which days, which hours, which restaurant, starting when.
Example: a franchisee with twelve restaurants
A quick-service franchisee runs twelve restaurants in a metro area. Each restaurant posts its crew member jobs from TalentReef. In Delectus, applications are picked up as they come in, and the SMS prescreening agent texts shortlisted candidates to find out their availability for the week, their preferred restaurant and their start date.
Candidates who fit get a meeting offer with the manager, in their open slots. The manager sees their list for the day and meets candidates who have already confirmed their hours.
The same work applies to manager and assistant manager roles, which are rarer and take longer to fill. The criteria then cover team leadership, opening and closing the restaurant, and inventory management. The agent checks those points, and the area manager runs an interview with a suitable set of questions.
Follow-ups that keep candidates from slipping away
The agent introduces itself as an AI and asks for the candidate's consent before getting started. The conversation can happen on WhatsApp. If the candidate doesn't reply, the agent follows up twice, then the voice agent calls. If the person still can't be reached, the manager is notified and decides what to do next.
Candidates who weren't hired because there was no opening stay in your candidate database. When another restaurant needs someone for the same hours, they're suggested to you.
Managers stay in control
The agent does the first pass on availability, but the restaurant manager picks their team. They see each candidate with their answers, can add a note after the interview and move the candidate along the job's kanban board. Area managers follow hiring across several restaurants and spot the ones that need help.
Your TalentReef data stays untouched
Delectus reads your jobs and applications without writing anything to TalentReef. The imported data is hosted in the European Union.
