What makes hotel hiring so tight
- Every role at once. Front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance: the team is rebuilt every season.
- Candidates in high demand. A good front desk agent gets several offers. Whoever replies first often wins.
- Languages and hours to check. English for the front desk, night or weekend work: these points decide the hire.
How the Occupop integration works
- Access authorized. An admin on your Occupop account approves access from Delectus.
- Applications imported. Jobs, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, read-only.
- Fast prescreening. The agents check languages, hours and availability with each candidate.
Why an Occupop integration with Delectus?
Occupop is your recruiting software: it posts your job ads and gathers your applications. Delectus adds speed on what comes next, right when everything is decided. Each resume is read by AI and ranked for the role, with its reasons, and a summary lays out the candidate's strengths and gaps.
The front office manager or the executive housekeeper no longer reads the whole pile. They start with the candidates closest to the role and see right away what will need checking.
Example: a four-star hotel before the summer
A seaside hotel needs to hire two front desk agents, four room attendants and a breakfast attendant for the season. The jobs are posted from Occupop. Delectus surfaces candidates with hotel experience, and the SMS prescreening agent checks their level of English for the front desk, availability for the whole season, housing and whether they can work weekends.
The answers come in sorted by criterion. The agent then offers a meeting on the department head's calendar, synced with Outlook or Teams. The hotel wraps up its interviews in a week.
At the end of the season, management also knows who it wants back the following year. Notes left after the interview and during the season stay in the candidate profile, and when the next season's jobs are posted from Occupop, those candidates rise to the top to be contacted first.
Be the first to reach the right candidates
The agent texts shortlisted candidates as soon as you decide. It introduces itself as an AI, asks for their consent, then asks the job's questions. The conversation can also happen on WhatsApp, which is handy for seasonal workers. If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice agent calls. If the candidate still can't be reached, you're notified.
Last year's seasonal staff stay in your Delectus candidate database. When the next season gets close, the ones who made a good impression are suggested to you to reach out again.
A short interview for each department
An executive housekeeper and a front office manager aren't looking for the same qualities. Delectus prepares an interview kit for each role, with a few concrete questions: handling a late arrival or a complaint for the front desk, organizing a floor and inspecting a room for housekeeping. The interview can take place over video in the platform for candidates who live far away, with a live transcript. The report helps the general manager sign off on each department's choices.
Your Occupop data stays untouched
Delectus reads your jobs and applications without writing anything to Occupop. Data is hosted in the European Union and isn't used to train any model.
Frequently asked questions
Does Delectus replace Occupop?
No. Occupop stays your posting and tracking tool. Delectus adds screening and prescreening on top of it.
Does Delectus change data in Occupop?
No. The connection is read-only.
How do I connect Occupop to Delectus?
An admin on your account authorizes access from Delectus during setup.
Can we reach out to last year's seasonal staff?

Can the agent check English proficiency?
It asks the candidate and saves the answer. Assessing the actual level is still done in the interview.
