Workstream integration: hiring store associates across the region

The Delectus Workstream integration picks up the jobs, applications and resumes from your platform so AI can read and rank them. Shortlisted candidates are prescreened by text or phone, and store managers meet candidates who are ready to start.

Delectus AI

The agents take it from there

  • Resumes read, ranked and explained
  • SMS screening agent
  • Voice prescreening agent
  • AI-led or assisted interview
Job postings, applications and resumes from Workstream flow into Delectus. Nothing is changed in Workstream: you keep your ATS exactly as it is.

Hiring for neighborhood stores

  • Roles to fill fast. A missing store associate means an empty aisle and a closed register.
  • Local candidates. The right candidate lives near the store and can come in during opening hours. That has to be checked from the start.
  • Managers on their own. The manager runs the store, the team and the orders. Hiring comes after.

How the Workstream integration works

  1. Access authorized. A Workstream admin approves access from Delectus.
  2. Automatic import. Jobs, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, without changing anything in Workstream.
  3. Prescreening and interview. The agents check the requirements, then an interview kit guides the manager.

The Workstream integration: each tool has its role

Workstream is a recruiting platform for hourly frontline roles, already designed to move fast with candidates. Delectus adds what AI brings on top: a read of each resume compared to the job, prescreening by text and phone that sorts answers by criterion, and prepared, comparable interviews.

The two complement each other. You keep Workstream to post and manage your applications, and you find prescreening and assessment in Delectus.

Example: twenty downtown convenience stores

A convenience store chain is always hiring store associates and cashiers for about twenty stores. The jobs are managed in Workstream. Delectus picks up the applications, and the SMS prescreening agent asks each candidate which store is closest to home, their availability for mornings, evenings and Sundays, and when they could start.

The answers land in the candidate profile. Each store manager sees the candidates who match their hours and gets the meeting in their calendar. They run a short interview with three prepared questions and note the answers in the kit.

The same process works for assistant manager roles, with different criteria: leading a small team, handling orders, opening the store. For these roles, the interview can take place over video in the platform, with a live transcript, before an in-store meeting.

Simple conversations, by text then by phone

The agent introduces itself as an AI and asks for the candidate's consent. It writes short messages suited to texting and understands abbreviated replies. The conversation can happen on WhatsApp. If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice agent calls. If the candidate still can't be reached, the manager is notified.

Candidates tracked until their first day

Sometimes a week goes by between a candidate's yes and their first day. Each job's kanban board shows who was hired and who still needs to confirm, and the manager can hand a follow-up to a colleague through a task. Candidates who back out aren't a dead end: the other prescreened candidates for the same store are already in the job's file.

Your Workstream data stays untouched

The connection is read-only. Nothing is written to Workstream, and the imported data is hosted in the European Union and isn't used to train any model.
