Sage HR integration: AI on your small business's applications

The Delectus Sage HR integration picks up the jobs, applications and resumes from your recruiting module so AI can handle them as soon as they arrive. Each resume is read and ranked, shortlisted candidates are prescreened by text or phone, and your interviews are prepared, without changing anything in your HRIS.

Job postings, applications and resumes from Sage HR flow into Delectus. Nothing is changed in Sage HR: you keep your ATS exactly as it is.

What the recruiting module doesn't do for you

  • An owner who does the hiring. At a small business, it's often the owner who reads the resumes and makes the first calls.
  • Hiring that comes around rarely. You hire once or twice a year, with no process in place, and every time you start from scratch.
  • Few applications that truly fit. Among the responses to a job ad, only a handful match, and you have to read them all to find them.

How the Sage HR integration works

  1. You authorize the connection. During setup, a Sage HR admin authorizes Delectus to read your jobs and applications.
  2. Applications arrive in Delectus. Jobs, applications and resumes are imported automatically, read-only: nothing is changed in Sage HR.
  3. The agents take over. Each resume is compared to the job, then the prescreening agents contact the candidates you pick.

What does the Delectus Sage HR integration add?

Sage HR is Sage's HR software for small businesses. It covers employee management, time off and, with its dedicated module, tracking the candidates for each job.

Many companies using Sage HR already run their accounting or payroll on Sage, and look for tools that don't complicate their day. Delectus fits in without changing anything: applications from Sage HR are imported read-only, then read, ranked and prescreened by the agents.

Nothing changes in how you work. You post your jobs in Sage HR as before, candidates apply through the same channels, and in Delectus you find applications already read, candidates already contacted and interviews ready to go. For a small business, it mostly means time given back to the people who hire on top of their actual job.

Screen Sage HR applications without rereading everything

Each resume imported from Sage HR is read by AI and compared to the job's criteria. You get a ranking where every candidate has a fit score and its reasons: experience close to the role, a must-have skill found in the resume, a compatible location.

No candidate is set aside without you. The ranking helps you read the closest candidates first, and a summary sums up each one's strengths and gaps. If you have a specific question about a candidate, the AI chat answers it from the resume.

Candidates contacted while you handle everything else

The SMS prescreening agent texts the candidates you shortlist. It says it's an AI, gets their consent, then checks the job's key points: availability, expectations, commute, working conditions. It adjusts its tone to a hesitant or a hurried candidate, and the conversation can also happen on WhatsApp.

A candidate who stays silent after two follow-ups gets a call from the voice prescreening agent, which holds a real phone conversation. The answers land in the candidate profile sorted by criterion, with the call transcript, and you're notified as soon as a candidate replies.

Example: an accounting firm hiring a staff accountant

A twelve-person accounting firm posts a staff accountant job. Delectus reads the applications imported from Sage HR and puts at the top the ones with experience handling very small business clients and the software the firm uses. The SMS agent checks availability and salary expectations. The partner only meets three candidates, all interested and available.

AI interview or assisted interview

Depending on the role, the first interview can be run by Alicia, the Delectus AI interviewer, at a time that suits the candidate, or by the manager over video with the agent transcribing and suggesting follow-up questions. Either way, the same kit of questions is the starting point and the final report covers the candidate's answers.

Sage HR integration: your HR data stays untouched

The connection is read-only and covers recruiting only. Delectus picks up your jobs, applications and resumes without writing anything to Sage HR. Your employee records, payroll and the rest of your HRIS stay outside its scope.

The imported data is hosted in the European Union and isn't used to train any model. It follows your retention periods, and the hiring decision always stays with your teams.
