When volume outgrows the time you have
- Too many resumes for one person. A well-distributed job ad draws more applications than a recruiter can seriously read in a day.
- An uneven first screen. The resume read at 9 a.m. and the one read at 6 p.m. don't get the same attention.
- Candidates left waiting. While you're screening, the best profiles are answering other offers.
How the OTYS integration works
- Connection authorized. During setup, an OTYS admin authorizes the connection from Delectus.
- Read-only sync. Job postings, applications and resumes come into Delectus. Nothing is written to OTYS.
- Well-equipped selection. Explained rankings, prescreening by the agents, interviews prepared and assessed.
OTYS: what are we talking about?
OTYS is recruiting software from the Netherlands, used by recruitment agencies as well as companies hiring for themselves.
With the OTYS integration, Delectus sits alongside that tool. It pulls in job postings and applications to do the selection work, without touching the setup you've built in OTYS.
How the AI ranks applications from OTYS
Every resume is read by the AI and turned into a structured profile, with experience, skills, languages and location. It's then compared with the job's criteria and gets a fit score along with its reasons.
So you know why one candidate is at the top and why another is lower down. A candidate ranked low stays visible, and you can always move them forward. The AI doesn't reject anyone for you.
For a more specific question, the AI chat queries the profile for you: "Has he worked in cold-chain logistics?", "Does she speak Dutch?". The answer is based on the resume, and you stay in control of every conclusion.
Prescreening handed to the SMS and voice agents
Once profiles are shortlisted, the SMS prescreening agent gets in touch. The first message says it's an AI and gets the candidate's consent. Then come the job's questions, asked in a conversation rather than a form. The conversation can also happen on WhatsApp.
If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls the candidate. It holds a real phone conversation, then leaves the transcript, a summary and the answers to each criterion in the candidate profile. When a profile fits, an interview is offered in your open slots.
For agencies and companies alike
An agency using OTYS will mostly gain speed: a talent pool you can search in plain language, past candidates suggested for every new job, candidate submissions ready to go to the client.
A company hiring for itself will gain consistency: the same criteria applied to every application, an interview kit per role, and a transcript and report by theme after every interview that the manager can read before deciding.
Getting started with the OTYS integration in a few steps
Setup is done with whoever administers OTYS at your organization. They authorize the connection from Delectus, and job postings and applications then come in on their own. You pick a first job, check the criteria the AI will use and the questions the agents will ask candidates, then go live.
The first rankings are easy to review, since each one comes with its reasons. If a criterion is poorly worded, you adjust it and the ranking follows. When you're happy with the result on that job, you extend to others, without changing anything about your setup in OTYS.
Data and compliance
Candidate data is hosted in the European Union and is never used to train models. The agents identify themselves as AI, and decisions stay with your team. Retention periods follow your GDPR rules.
Any candidate can ask not to be contacted again, and the agent respects that request. Conversations stay accessible to your team, who knows at any time what was said and to whom.
Frequently asked questions
Does Delectus replace OTYS?
No. Delectus adds to OTYS. You keep managing your jobs and clients in OTYS, and Delectus handles candidate screening and prescreening.
Does Delectus write to OTYS?
No. The OTYS integration is read-only. Data comes into Delectus without being changed in OTYS.
How do I connect OTYS to Delectus?
During setup, an OTYS admin authorizes the connection from Delectus, and the sync then starts on its own.
Can the AI turn a candidate down?
No. It ranks and explains. The recruiter decides the next step for each candidate.
Are candidates told that AI is being used?
Yes. The SMS agent and the voice agent introduce themselves as artificial intelligence and ask for the candidate's consent.
