What the tool still leaves you to do by hand
- Reading every resume. Applications are neatly organized, but you still have to open them one by one to see which ones fit.
- Reaching every candidate. First prescreening conversations happen over the phone, at the pace of missed calls and callbacks.
- Writing up interview notes. After every interview, you have to go back over your notes so the hiring manager or client knows what was said.
How the Zoho Recruit integration works
- You authorize the connection. A Zoho Recruit administrator grants access from Delectus during setup.
- Job postings and applications synced. Job postings, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, read-only.
- The agents take it from there. Resume analysis, prescreening, the interview and the write-up all happen in Delectus.

What the Zoho Recruit integration changes day to day
Zoho Recruit is recruiting software used by both companies and recruitment agencies, often ones already using other Zoho tools. It organizes job postings, applications and their follow-up. The Delectus integration doesn't touch any of that. It adds a tool that reads, reaches out and documents for you.
Every synced application is read by AI, compared with the job's criteria and ranked with a match score and the reasons behind it. You start your day with a sorted list, and for each candidate a summary of their strengths and gaps for the role.
Application screening that explains itself
The match score isn't a black box. For each candidate, you see what put them at that rank: experience close to the role, a must-have skill found in the resume, a compatible location. If a ranking surprises you, you open the profile or ask the AI chat a specific question, and the answer is grounded in the resume.
The same work applies to your database. Resumes already on file become searchable in plain language, and past candidates who fit a new role are suggested as soon as the job posting arrives in Delectus.
Prescreening Zoho Recruit candidates by text and phone
The SMS prescreening agent texts shortlisted candidates. It states that it's an AI, asks for their consent, then asks the job's questions in a natural conversation. It adapts its tone, follows up when an answer is too vague and can also chat on WhatsApp.
If there's no reply after two reminders, the voice prescreening agent calls the candidate. If the call doesn't connect, you're alerted. When the answers check out, the agent offers an interview in your real open slots, thanks to the calendar synced with Outlook and Teams.
Prepared interviews, written-up reports
For each job, Delectus prepares an interview kit with the questions and scoring criteria. The interview takes place over video on the platform with a live transcript, or a first round can be handed to Alicia, the AI interviewer. The end-of-interview report lays out the answers by topic and quotes the passages that back them up.
For an agency, this report is the starting point for the candidate submission sent to the client, generated in the agency's branding and shared by link.
Which teams get the most out of the Zoho Recruit integration?
A company hiring in-house with Zoho Recruit mainly gets faster application screening and prescreening that no longer depends on recruiters' availability. An agency also gets database search for every assignment and candidate submissions ready to send to the client.
Either way, rollout starts with one pilot job or assignment. You check the rankings and the agents' conversations on that role, adjust the criteria if needed, then extend to your other jobs.
Zoho Recruit stays your system of record
The sync is read-only: Delectus doesn't change anything in Zoho Recruit. Your processes, reports and other Zoho tools keep working as before. Synced data is hosted in the European Union, is never used to train models and follows your retention periods.
Frequently asked questions
