Hiring with Workday day to day
- Volumes that are hard to absorb. For some roles, hundreds of applications arrive in a few days, for a recruiting team that hasn't grown.
- A fixed process, swamped recruiters. The stages are defined in Workday, but nobody reads the resumes or calls the candidates for the recruiters.
- Timelines that drag on. Weeks can go by between the application and the first conversation, and candidates drop out.
How the Workday integration works
- Access approved by your admin. During setup, they authorize Delectus to read the recruiting part of Workday. There's nothing to install.
- Jobs and candidates imported. Jobs, applications and resumes come in automatically. The rest of your HRIS isn't involved.
- AI works on every job. Resumes are read and ranked, candidates prescreened by text or phone, interviews prepared.
What does the Delectus Workday integration add?
Workday is the HR and finance suite of many large enterprises. Its Workday Recruiting module holds jobs, applications and selection stages, usually within a framework tightly set by central HR teams.
In a large enterprise, the recruiting process is set in Workday and working around it is out of the question. Delectus doesn't change it. It picks up jobs and applications read-only and saves recruiters time on the longest stages: reading resumes for high-volume roles, first conversations with candidates and interview prep.
For an HR department, the benefit is twofold. Recruiters save time on repetitive stages, and candidates are assessed on the same criteria from one business unit to another, with explained rankings that can be checked. The process defined in Workday remains the reference.
Resumes read and explained as soon as they arrive
As soon as an application lands in Workday, it's picked up in Delectus, read and compared to the role. The fit score always comes with its reasons, so you can check in a few lines why a candidate is ranked at the top or further down.
Past candidates in your database aren't forgotten. When a new job resembles their background, they're suggested to you with the same explanations. You can also search the database in plain language and narrow it down by experience, skills or location.
Reach candidates at the right time
A candidate who already has a job responds more easily to a message than to a call in the middle of the day. The SMS prescreening agent texts them, introduces itself as an AI, asks for their consent and asks the job's questions. It can also schedule a call from the voice agent at the time the candidate chooses.
When a text goes unanswered after two follow-ups, the voice agent calls. If no one picks up, the recruiter is alerted. Meetings are then booked into your real open slots, thanks to the calendar synced with Outlook and Teams.
Example: a group hiring customer service representatives
A services group opens twenty customer service roles in Workday across several cities. Delectus picks up the applications and ranks them on the job's criteria, with the reasons behind each ranking. The SMS prescreening agent checks the city, hours and start date with shortlisted candidates, and the voice agent calls back those who didn't reply. Recruiters only open the prescreened candidates in detail.
Prepared, comparable interviews
For each role, Delectus prepares an interview kit with the questions and scoring criteria. The interview can be run by Alicia, the AI interviewer, or by you over video, with a live transcript and suggested follow-up questions. At the end, a report by topic helps you compare candidates on the same basis.
Workday integration: what Delectus reads, and what it leaves alone
Delectus reads the recruiting part of Workday: jobs, applications and resumes. It writes nothing to your HRIS and doesn't touch employee records or payroll. Your HR team keeps working in Workday as before.
Everything imported stays hosted in the European Union, isn't used to train any model and follows your retention periods. The agents collect and organize the answers, and your teams make the decisions.
