Hiring in construction
- Hard-to-fill trades. A good crew lead or a licensed electrician often has several offers at once.
- Very short resumes. Many tradespeople sum up their career in a few lines. Their know-how comes out when they talk.
- Job sites that move. The work location changes from month to month. A candidate's mobility counts as much as their experience.
How the TalentLyft integration works
- Connect. A TalentLyft admin authorizes Delectus to read your jobs and applications.
- Import. Applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, read-only.
- Prescreening. Mobility, certifications and availability are checked with each candidate.
The TalentLyft integration for a construction company
TalentLyft is your recruiting software: it's used to post job ads and track candidates. Delectus adds a read of every resume, even a very short one, compared to the job. The summary shows what's there and what needs checking, like an electrical safety certification or a forklift certification.
Since a tradesperson's background is easier to tell out loud, the voice prescreening agent is often the most useful channel. It asks the job's questions and lets the candidate describe their recent job sites.
Example: a small specialty contractor
A 40-person electrical contractor is looking for a site supervisor and three electricians for jobs across the region. The jobs are posted from TalentLyft. Delectus ranks the applications on commercial building experience and certifications, and the SMS prescreening agent asks each candidate whether they can travel across the area, whether they have a vehicle and when they can start.
Candidates who'd rather talk get a call from the voice agent. The project manager reads the transcript, sees the job sites the candidate described and offers them a meeting in an open slot on their calendar.
For the site supervisor role, the project manager relies on the AI summary even before the call: the types of projects run, the size of the crews supervised, possible gaps. The AI chat lets them ask a specific question about the resume, for example whether the candidate has worked in occupied buildings.
Keep the tradespeople you've met
An electrician who wasn't available in March may be in September. Applications imported from TalentLyft stay in your Delectus candidate database, and when a new project opens a role, the ones who fit are suggested to you. The SMS agent can text them to see if they're free.
An interview that talks job site
The interview kit prepared for a site supervisor covers what really matters: running a crew, safety, scheduling, working with the client and the other trades. The project manager can run the interview over video in the platform, with a live transcript, or on site while taking notes in the candidate profile. The report by topic helps them compare two candidates with similar backgrounds.
Your TalentLyft data stays untouched
The connection is read-only: nothing is written to TalentLyft. The imported data is hosted in the European Union and isn't used to train any model.
Frequently asked questions
Does Delectus replace TalentLyft?
No. TalentLyft stays your recruiting software. Delectus adds screening and prescreening on top of it.
Does Delectus change data in TalentLyft?
No. The connection is read-only.
How do I connect TalentLyft to Delectus?
An admin on your account authorizes access from Delectus during setup.
Can the agent check a certification?
It asks the candidate, and AI spots the certifications mentioned in the resume. Checking the actual document is still up to your teams.
Can we reach out to a candidate later?
Yes. They stay in your candidate database and are suggested to you when a similar role opens.
