Hiring in transportation and delivery
- Licenses and credentials to check. Regular or commercial license, professional driver certification: without the right document, the candidate can't hit the road.
- Routes to cover by Monday. A missing driver means a route split among everyone else.
- Candidates on the road. Drivers who already have a job rarely answer the phone during the day.
How the SnapHire integration works
- Access authorized. An admin on your SnapHire account approves the connection from Delectus.
- Applications imported. Jobs, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, read-only.
- Prescreening. The agent checks license, area and hours with each candidate.
What the SnapHire integration adds
SnapHire is your recruiting software: it manages your job ads and applications. Delectus adds reading each resume, checking that it mentions the required licenses or credentials and contacting candidates. The ranking is explained, and the candidate profile flags what's missing.
For a driver role, a few questions are often enough to know whether a conversation is worth it. The agent asks everyone the same way.
Example: a last-mile delivery company
A delivery company is hiring delivery drivers for three depots on the outskirts of a big city. The jobs are posted from SnapHire. Delectus surfaces candidates who have done deliveries before, and the SMS prescreening agent asks them whether they've had their driver's license for more than three years, which depot is closest to home, whether they're OK starting at 6 a.m. and when they can start.
The answers land in the candidate profile. The depot manager gets their candidates, with a slot proposed for a meeting and a ride-along.
Candidates who don't fit one depot may fit another closer to home. Every application goes into the same candidate database, and each depot manager sees the candidates available in their area. Those who weren't free when the job was posted can be contacted again when a route opens up.
Texts in the evening, a call as backup
Drivers check their messages at the end of their route. A text gives them time to reply. The agent introduces itself as an AI and asks for their consent. If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice agent calls, at the agreed time if the candidate picked one, and filters out road noise if the person picks up while parked. You're notified if someone still can't be reached.
Prepare the ride-along day
For a delivery driver, the interview often comes with a ride-along day on a route. The Delectus interview kit prepares the questions to ask before heading out: route experience, handling a customer who isn't home, city driving. The depot manager notes their observations in the candidate profile when they get back, and the report pulls together everything that was said and seen.
Your SnapHire data stays untouched
Delectus reads your jobs and applications without writing anything to SnapHire. The imported data is hosted in the European Union.
Frequently asked questions
Does Delectus replace SnapHire?
No. SnapHire stays your recruiting software. Delectus works alongside it.
Does Delectus change data in SnapHire?
No, the connection is read-only.
How do I connect SnapHire to Delectus?
An admin on your account authorizes access from Delectus during setup.
Does the agent check driver's licenses?
It asks the question, and AI spots the licenses mentioned in the resume. Checking the actual document is still up to your teams.
Can candidates choose when they get called?
Yes. The candidate can ask by text to be called later, and the voice agent calls back at the time they chose.
