Paylocity integration: read and prescreen your candidates with AI

The Delectus Paylocity integration picks up the jobs, applications and resumes from your HR tool so AI can handle them as soon as they arrive. Each resume is read and ranked, shortlisted candidates are prescreened by text or phone, and your interviews are prepared, without changing anything in Paylocity.

  • Resumes read, ranked and explained

Job postings, applications and resumes from Paylocity flow into Delectus. Nothing is changed in Paylocity: you keep your ATS exactly as it is.

What stays manual in an HR recruiting module

  • Reading every resume. The module keeps applications in one place, but someone still has to open them one by one to see which ones fit.
  • Follow-ups. A promising candidate who doesn't answer the first message is quickly forgotten when several roles are open.
  • Interviews that are hard to compare. Each manager runs the conversation their own way, and the notes don't always help decide between two candidates.

How the Paylocity integration works

  1. You authorize the connection. During setup, an admin on your Paylocity account authorizes Delectus to read your jobs and applications.
  2. Applications arrive in Delectus. Jobs, applications and resumes are imported automatically, read-only: nothing is changed in Paylocity.
  3. The agents take over. Each resume is compared to the job, then the prescreening agents contact the candidates you pick.

What does the Delectus Paylocity integration add?

Paylocity is an American payroll and HR management solution with a built-in recruiting module. It mainly serves North American companies, some of which have teams or subsidiaries in France.

Delectus doesn't replace Paylocity. It adds to the recruiting side to handle part of the work the tool leaves to the team: reading resumes, reaching out to candidates and preparing interviews. You keep Paylocity for everything else.

The connection is read-only. Delectus picks up your jobs, applications and resumes but writes nothing to Paylocity: your records and statuses stay as they are. The imported data is hosted in the European Union, isn't used to train any model and follows your retention periods. The decision stays with your teams.

Add AI without touching your HR tool

Your HR software runs payroll, employee records and hiring workflows. Replacing it to save time on resume screening would make no sense. Delectus adds to it by picking up jobs, applications and resumes, read-only.

The work then happens in Delectus. Each application is read and ranked, shortlisted candidates are contacted by the prescreening agents, and interviews are prepared with a kit of questions specific to the role.

Screen Paylocity applications without rereading everything

In Delectus, applications coming from Paylocity are ranked as soon as they arrive. Every score is explained, criterion by criterion, with the parts of the resume that back it up. You can also query a candidate profile with the AI chat, for example to find out whether the person has managed a team before.

Imported applications also grow your candidate database. When a new job opens, the tool suggests past candidates who fit it, and you can search your database in plain language, then narrow it down by experience, skills or location.

Prescreen by text and by phone

Once you've picked your candidates, the SMS prescreening agent reaches out. It says right away that it's an AI, gets the candidate's consent, then checks the job's key points: availability, expectations, commute. The candidate replies when they can, by text or on WhatsApp.

When the candidate doesn't reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls them. If they still can't be reached, an alert lets you know. You find each candidate's answers in their profile, and the meeting is booked into slots that are actually open.

Example: a surge of applications for a customer support role

A customer support job ad draws far more applications than expected. Instead of reading them all, the recruiter opens the ranked list in Delectus and starts with the closest candidates, checking the reasons behind each score.

Shortlisted candidates get a text from the agent, which says it's an AI, asks for their consent and checks which hours they can work. The answers come in sorted by criterion. All that's left for the recruiter is to choose who to meet.

Run interviews on the same basis

The interview kit follows the job's criteria, so every candidate is asked about the same points. Over video in the platform, the transcript scrolls by during the conversation and the tool suggests follow-up questions. At the end, a report by topic sums up the answers, and the recording stays available to go back over any part.
