Job postings, applications and resumes from Oracle Taleo flow into Delectus. Nothing is changed in Oracle Taleo: you keep your ATS exactly as it is.

What teams hiring on a long-established ATS deal with

  • A configuration nobody wants to touch. Taleo has often been configured for a long time, with precise workflows. Changing it takes a project, time and sign-offs.
  • Lots of applications, barely read. Jobs attract plenty of people. For lack of time, many resumes get a few seconds' glance, and some strong candidates slip through.
  • A fully manual first contact. Checking a candidate's availability or willingness to relocate is still a call to make, often several times before you reach them.

How the Oracle Taleo integration works

  1. Connection authorized by your admin. During setup, a Taleo admin authorizes Delectus to read recruiting data. Your configuration stays intact.
  2. Read-only sync. Jobs, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus automatically. Nothing is written to Taleo.
  3. The agents' work in Delectus. Resumes are ranked with their reasons, candidates are prescreened by text or phone and interviews are prepared.

Why add an Oracle Taleo integration instead of switching ATS?

Oracle Taleo is a talent acquisition suite that has been in place for a long time at many large groups. Switching ATS is a heavy undertaking, with historical data migration, team training and a review of approval workflows.

The Oracle Taleo integration spares you that. You keep your ATS as the system of record and add alongside it what's most missing day to day: a careful read of every resume, fast first contact with candidates and better-prepared interviews.

What happens to the resumes that come into Taleo?

Every synced resume is read by AI and turned into a structured profile, with experience, skills, education, languages and location. It is then compared with the job's criteria. The recruiter sees a ranked list, and for each candidate a match score explained criterion by criterion.

Candidates from previous campaigns become searchable too. When you open a new role, Delectus suggests past candidates who resemble it, giving a second life to years of applications that sat in the ATS.

Prescreen without making call after call

The SMS prescreening agent writes to the candidates you shortlist. It introduces itself as an AI, gets their consent, then asks the job's questions. It spots an answer that contradicts another and asks for clarification. If there is no reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls the candidate, and you are alerted if they still can't be reached.

Answers arrive filed in the candidate profile, with the transcript of the conversations. You only call back the people to move forward or those whose answer deserves a discussion.

Prepare and assess interviews

For each role, Delectus prepares an interview kit with questions and scoring criteria. The video interview is transcribed in real time, the tool suggests follow-up questions on themes not yet covered and a report by theme is produced at the end. You can also hand a first interview to the AI interviewer, at a time the candidate chooses.

Where to start with the Oracle Taleo integration?

The simplest approach is to start with a few representative jobs, for example a high-volume role and a more specialized position. You validate with the team the criteria used to rank resumes and the questions the prescreening agents ask. Once the first results are checked, you extend use to other jobs.

This gradual approach reassures recruiters, who see the quality of the ranking and the answers collected for themselves before relying on them every day. It also leaves time to fine-tune the tone of the messages sent to candidates.

Security and compliance of the integration

The connection only requires read permissions. Data is hosted in the European Union, is not used to train any model and follows your retention periods. The agents always tell candidates they are talking to an AI, and no decision is made without the recruiter.

Frequently asked questions

Does Delectus replace Oracle Taleo?

No. Taleo remains your system-of-record ATS. Delectus adds resume reading, candidate prescreening and interview preparation on top.

Does Delectus change data in Taleo?

No. The integration reads jobs, applications and resumes, read-only. Your Taleo configuration is never changed.

Do we need an IT project to connect Taleo?

No. An admin authorizes read access during setup, and the sync then runs automatically.

Are past Taleo candidates put to use?

Yes. Synced resumes become searchable in plain language, and Delectus suggests past candidates who match a new job.

Are candidates told that AI is being used?

Yes. The SMS and voice agents say from the first exchange that they are an AI and ask for the candidate's consent.
