What slows recruiting down, even with LawCruit
- Highly codified careers. Bar admission, practice area, years of practice, type of firm: a legal career is read against precise criteria.
- Few candidates for many requests. In some practice areas, every candidate counts, and so does every delay.
- Technical interviews to prepare. Assessing command of a practice area takes prepared questions and an accurate record of the answers.
How Delectus connects to LawCruit
- You authorize the connection. A LawCruit administrator approves access from Delectus during setup.
- Your talent pool arrives in Delectus. Jobs, candidates and resumes are picked up automatically, read-only: nothing is changed in LawCruit.
- The agents take it from there. Every resume is ranked with its reasons, then the prescreening agents reach out to the shortlisted candidates.
How does the LawCruit integration work?
LawCruit is your recruiting software, often associated with recruiting legal profiles. Setup starts with an authorization: an administrator on your LawCruit account approves access from Delectus. There's nothing to install, and your teams don't change their habits in LawCruit.
From then on, your jobs, candidates and their resumes arrive in Delectus automatically. Every resume is read by AI and becomes a structured profile, compared with open roles. The prescreening agents only contact the candidates you've shortlisted.
Each role's criteria and prescreening questions are set in Delectus. You can start with a single assignment to check the first rankings, adjust the criteria if needed, then extend to other roles once your recruiters have validated the results.
LawCruit and Delectus: who does what?
Delectus doesn't replace LawCruit. It handles the repetitive tasks that stand between a client request and a shortlist: finding profiles, checking their interest and conditions, preparing interviews and submissions.
In practice, your recruiters open a candidate profile where the resume is already analyzed, a summary lays out the profile's strengths and gaps, and the prescreening answers are sorted by criterion. The kanban board shows where every candidate stands, tasks are shared across the team and a notification flags every reply.
Reading a legal career against your own criteria
You define each role's criteria: practice area, years of practice, languages, type of clients. Every resume picked up from LawCruit is compared with those criteria, with a match score and the reasons behind it, plus a summary of strengths and points to check.
The AI chat answers your specific questions, for example about a candidate's litigation or employment law experience, based on what their resume says.
Better-prepared technical interviews
For each role, Delectus prepares an interview kit with questions on the practice area and scoring criteria. During the video interview, the live transcript keeps you focused on the conversation.
The topic-by-topic report captures the candidate's answers, which makes it easier to discuss with the partners or the client based on what was actually said, rather than impressions.
Example: an employment law associate
A firm is looking for an employment law associate with four to six years of experience. Delectus ranks the profiles picked up from LawCruit against those criteria and summarizes the closest ones.
The SMS agent checks the shortlisted candidates' interest and availability and schedules the interviews. The recruiter relies on the transcribed reports to present candidates to the partners.
What the integration changes, and doesn't change, in LawCruit
Nothing is changed in LawCruit. The connection reads your data without writing it back, and your teams keep managing clients and assignments there as before.
On the Delectus side, data is hosted in the European Union and is never used to train models. Candidates are told they're talking to an AI, and decisions stay with your recruiters. Retention periods follow your own GDPR rules.
