How the Freshteam integration works
- You authorize the connection. During setup, an admin on your Freshteam account authorizes Delectus to read your job postings and applications.
- Applications arrive in Delectus. Job postings, applications and resumes are pulled in automatically, read-only: nothing is changed in Freshteam.
- The agents take it from there. Each resume is compared with the job, then the prescreening agents reach out to the candidates you shortlist.
What does the Delectus Freshteam integration add?
Freshteam is Freshworks' HR and recruiting software, built for small and mid-sized teams. It lets you post jobs, track candidates and manage employees.
Delectus doesn't replace Freshteam. It sits on top of the recruiting side and takes on some of the work the software leaves to your team: reading resumes, reaching out to candidates and preparing interviews. You keep Freshteam for everything else.
The connection is read-only. Delectus pulls in your job postings, applications and resumes but writes nothing back to Freshteam: your records and statuses stay exactly as they are. The data is hosted in the European Union, is never used to train models and follows your retention periods. The decisions stay with your team.
Freshteam for tracking, Delectus for the work
Freshteam does a good job of organizing candidate tracking. Delectus actually does part of the work itself. Job postings, applications and resumes are pulled in read-only, and each application is read and ranked as soon as it arrives.
For shortlisted candidates, the SMS prescreening agent handles the first conversations, follows up with those who don't reply, then hands off to the voice agent if needed. Answers come back sorted by criterion, and the interview is booked into your open slots.
Screen Freshteam applications without reading every one
Every resume pulled in from Freshteam is read by the AI and compared with the role's criteria. You get a ranking with a fit score for each candidate and the reasons behind it: closely related experience, a must-have skill found in the resume, a compatible location. A summary sets out their strengths and gaps.
The applications you bring in also grow your candidate database. When a new job opens, Delectus suggests past candidates who fit it, and you can search your database in plain language, then narrow down by experience, skills or location.
Prescreen by text and by phone
For the candidates you shortlist, the SMS prescreening agent sends a first message, introduces itself as an AI and asks for the candidate's consent before asking the job's questions. It understands free-form answers, follows up when an answer is vague and spots answers that contradict each other. The conversation can also happen on WhatsApp.
If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls. If the person still can't be reached, you're notified and take it from there. Answers come back sorted by criterion, and when they fit, the agent offers an interview in your actual open slots, thanks to the calendar synced with Outlook and Teams.
Example: a startup hiring its first salesperson
A startup posts its first sales role in Freshteam. Applications pour in. In Delectus, the founders first read the top-ranked profiles, each with a summary of strengths and gaps.
The SMS prescreening agent checks shortlisted candidates' salary expectations and B2B sales experience. The founders meet four candidates the following week, with a shared set of questions.
Interviews that are prepared and comparable
For each role, Delectus prepares an interview kit with questions and scoring criteria drawn from the job posting. The interview can be run by Alicia, the AI interviewer, or by you on video, with a real-time transcript and suggested follow-up questions. The report by theme that follows lets you compare candidates on the same criteria.
