What slows recruiting down, even with Dover
- Founders doing the hiring themselves. At a young company, it's often the founders who read resumes and make the first calls, between customer meetings.
- Candidates courted elsewhere. Strong technical profiles get lots of offers. A slow reply is all it takes to lose them.
- Interviews that are hard to compare. When every co-founder runs interviews their own way, comparing candidates gets difficult.
From Dover to Delectus in three steps
- Connection. During setup, an administrator authorizes access to Dover, with nothing to install.
- Sync. Jobs, candidates and their documents arrive in Delectus. Dover stays as it is.
- Work in Delectus. Resume reading, prescreening by text or phone, prepared interviews and client submissions.
How does the Dover integration work?
Dover is recruiting software used in particular by startups and fast-growing young companies. Setup starts with an authorization: an administrator on your Dover account approves access from Delectus. There's nothing to install, and your teams don't change their habits in Dover.
From then on, your jobs, candidates and their resumes arrive in Delectus automatically. Every resume is read by AI and becomes a structured profile, compared with open roles. The prescreening agents only contact the candidates you've shortlisted.
Each role's criteria and prescreening questions are set in Delectus. You can start with a single assignment to check the first rankings, adjust the criteria if needed, then extend to other roles once your recruiters have validated the results.
Dover and Delectus: who does what?
Delectus doesn't replace Dover. It handles the repetitive tasks that stand between a client request and a shortlist: finding profiles, checking their interest and conditions, preparing interviews and submissions.
In practice, your recruiters open a candidate profile where the resume is already analyzed, a summary lays out the profile's strengths and gaps, and the prescreening answers are sorted by criterion. The kanban board shows where every candidate stands, tasks are shared across the team and a notification flags every reply.
Giving time back to founders
Every application picked up from Dover is read by AI and compared with the role's criteria. Founders read the closest profiles first, with a match score and the reasons behind it, plus a summary of strengths and gaps.
First conversations are handled by the SMS prescreening agent, then by the voice agent if the candidate doesn't reply. Prescreened candidates get an interview slot in the team's real open time.
Structured interviews, even without an HR team
For each role, Delectus prepares an interview kit with the questions and scoring criteria. Every co-founder runs their interviews from the same basis, over video, with a live transcript.
The topic-by-topic report lets you compare candidates on the same criteria and decide together based on what was said, rather than impressions.
Example: a startup hiring its first two developers
A startup posts two developer roles and receives about a hundred applications in Dover. Delectus ranks them against the CTO's criteria, and the CTO reads the twenty or so closest profiles first.
The SMS agent checks availability and salary expectations. The CTO and a co-founder run the interviews with the same kit and compare the reports before deciding.
What the integration changes, and doesn't change, in Dover
Nothing is changed in Dover. The connection reads your data without writing it back, and your teams keep managing clients and assignments there as before.
On the Delectus side, data is hosted in the European Union and is never used to train models. Candidates are told they're talking to an AI, and decisions stay with your recruiters. Retention periods follow your own GDPR rules.
