Dayforce integration: AI on the applications in your HRIS

The Delectus Dayforce integration picks up the jobs, applications and resumes from your recruiting module so AI can handle them as soon as they arrive. Resumes are ranked with their reasons, candidates are contacted by the prescreening agents, and nothing is changed in your HRIS.

Delectus AI

The agents take it from there

  • Resumes read, ranked and explained
  • SMS screening agent
  • Voice prescreening agent
  • AI-led or assisted interview
Job postings, applications and resumes from Dayforce flow into Delectus. Nothing is changed in Dayforce: you keep your ATS exactly as it is.

Where recruiting takes time

  • Turnover that never stops. For roles with variable hours, you have to hire continuously to keep schedules covered.
  • Candidates you can only reach by phone. Many don't check their email and respond better to a text.
  • Availability to check one by one. Evenings, weekends, holidays: every candidate has their constraints, to confirm before the interview.

How the Dayforce integration works

  1. Connect during setup. A Dayforce admin gives the go-ahead from Delectus. Your settings don't change.
  2. Dayforce recruiting data arrives in Delectus. Jobs and applications are imported read-only, along with resumes.
  3. You find prescreened candidates. Explained rankings, prescreening answers and prepared interviews are waiting for you in Delectus.

What does the Delectus Dayforce integration add?

Dayforce, formerly known as Ceridian, is an HR and payroll suite used by midsize and large companies. Its recruiting component manages jobs and applications in the same system as time tracking and payroll.

Companies that choose Dayforce often hire a lot of staff on variable schedules: retail, restaurants, services. Application volume is high and candidates are hard to reach by email. Delectus picks up the applications from Dayforce, ranks them, then has them prescreened by text or phone.

Your jobs are still posted from Dayforce and your HR team keeps its habits. What changes is what recruiters and managers find when they open an application in Delectus: a resume already analyzed, a summary of strengths and gaps, and prescreening answers sorted by criterion.

How AI reads Dayforce applications

The AI doesn't look for exact keywords. It compares backgrounds and skills to the job's criteria, which surfaces a candidate even when they described their experience in different words. For each candidate, you see the score broken down criterion by criterion.

The reading is there to save you time, not to decide for you. You're free to move forward with a candidate ranked lower, and the candidate profile keeps your notes, your tags and the conversation history.

Prescreen by text and by phone

For shortlisted candidates, the SMS prescreening agent sends a first message, introduces itself as an AI and asks for the candidate's consent. It then asks the job's questions in a real conversation, follows up when an answer is vague and spots answers that contradict each other. The conversation can also happen on WhatsApp.

If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls the candidate. If the person still can't be reached, you're notified and you take over. When the answers fit, the agent offers a meeting in your real open slots, thanks to the calendar synced with Outlook and Teams.

Example: a restaurant chain hiring crew members

A restaurant chain posts crew member jobs in Dayforce for about twenty restaurants. Delectus ranks the applications on proximity and experience. The SMS agent asks each shortlisted candidate the job's questions, including weekend availability, and offers a slot with the restaurant manager. Those who don't reply after two follow-ups get a call from the voice agent.

Interviews supported from start to finish

Interview questions are prepared from the job, with their scoring criteria. During the video call, the transcript scrolls by and the tool suggests follow-up questions on topics not yet covered. The write-up by topic is ready at the end, and the recording stays available to listen back.

Read-only Dayforce integration: your data stays protected

Nothing is changed in Dayforce. Delectus only picks up what relates to recruiting, meaning jobs, applications and resumes, and leaves your employees' HR data aside.

The imported information is hosted in the European Union and isn't used to train any model. Candidates know they're talking with an AI, and none of them is set aside without a human decision.
