Hiring technical profiles takes time
- Precise requirements. Certifications, licenses, shift work: an application that looks good doesn't always tick the must-have boxes.
- Candidates who are hard to reach. Technicians and operators are out in the field. They rarely pick up during the day and don't read much email.
- Technical interviews that need structure. The technical manager runs the interview. Without a shared scorecard, candidates are hard to compare.
How the BITE integration works
- Authorization. A BITE admin authorizes Delectus to read your recruiting data.
- Sync. Job postings, applications and resumes arrive in Delectus, without changing anything in BITE.
- Checks and interview. The agents check the role's requirements, then the interview kit guides the technical conversation.
A BITE integration for technical jobs
BITE is recruiting software from Germany. When your group uses it and also hires in France, especially for technical or industrial roles, the integration adds careful resume reading and fast candidate prescreening to that tool.
Delectus reads job postings and applications read-only, then does the work recruiters don't have time to do for every candidate.
Setup is simple: an admin authorizes the connection, you choose the roles involved, define the criteria and questions, and the first rankings are reviewed with recruiters before going further.
Check the must-haves from the start
The job's knockout criteria, such as a certification, a driver's license or being able to work rotating shifts, are used both to rank resumes and for the agents' questions. A candidate whose resume doesn't mention a certification isn't rejected: the agent simply asks them.
The SMS prescreening agent lets candidates reply when they can, at the end of a shift or during a break. If they'd rather talk, the voice prescreening agent calls them at the time they chose and filters out background noise on a call taken on site or in the car.
Technical interviews you can compare
The role's interview kit sets the technical questions and scoring criteria. The manager runs the interview on video in Delectus, while the transcript is produced in real time and the agent suggests follow-ups on points not yet covered. The final report analyzes the answers by theme and quotes the relevant passages.
The technical manager no longer has to write up the interview. They review the report, add to it if needed, and compare candidates on the same criteria.
Each candidate profile brings together the resume summary, the prescreening answers and the points to check. The technical manager reads it in a few minutes before the interview and knows what to dig into: a certification to renew, brief experience on a specific piece of equipment, availability to confirm.
Example: hiring a maintenance technician
An industrial site is looking for a maintenance technician on rotating shifts. Applications come in from BITE and are ranked on maintenance experience and the certifications mentioned. The SMS prescreening agent texts the shortlisted profiles to check electrical certification, acceptance of the schedule and availability date.
One candidate replies that he needs to renew his certification. The agent asks when it expires, and the answer shows up in his candidate profile as a point to check. The manager gets three candidates ready for the technical interview.
Candidates reached when they can reply
For shift jobs, the timing of the first contact matters. Texts let candidates reply at the end of their shift, and the voice agent's call can be scheduled at the time they choose. Follow-ups are automatic, and the recruiter only steps in for candidates who replied or still can't be reached.
Data and read-only access
Nothing is written to BITE. Data processed by Delectus is hosted in the European Union and is never used to train models. The decision stays with the recruiter and the manager.
Frequently asked questions
Does Delectus replace BITE?
No. BITE remains your recruiting software. Delectus adds to it for screening, prescreening and interviews.
Does Delectus change data in BITE?
No. The sync is read-only.
How do I connect BITE to Delectus?
During setup, a BITE admin authorizes the connection from Delectus.
Is a candidate rejected if their resume doesn't mention the certification?
No. The prescreening agent asks them about it, and the recruiter decides based on their answer.
Can the technical manager run the interview himself?
Yes. They run the conversation with the interview kit, and Delectus transcribes it and prepares the report.
