Hiring during peak season
Before summer or the holidays, a retailer or a warehouse can open dozens of roles in a few weeks. Delectus reads each application as soon as it comes in and ranks it for the target role, with its reasons. Candidates you already know, like seasonal staff from previous years, are suggested to you when each job opens.
Example: forty seasonal hires for an amusement park
An amusement park needs forty seasonal workers for the summer: guest services, food service, cashiers. The jobs are managed in Atlas, and the applications arrive in Delectus. Seasonal staff from previous years come up first, with their score. The SMS prescreening agent asks each of them for their available dates, whether they need housing and whether they're OK working weekends.
Within ten days, the team has completed candidate profiles for most of the shortlisted candidates, and group interviews booked into its open slots.
What does the candidate see?
The candidate gets a clear first message that says they're talking with an AI and asks for their consent. They reply at their own pace, ask questions about the role and get answers drawn from the job posting. If they'd rather talk, the agent schedules a call at the time they choose. They can end the conversation at any time.
Agents that reach everyone
The SMS prescreening agent texts the shortlisted candidates, says it's an AI and asks for their consent, then asks the job's questions: availability for the period, hours, driver's license, housing if the job is far away. When the answers fit, it offers a meeting in your open slots. If there's no reply after two follow-ups, the voice prescreening agent calls, and you're alerted if the call doesn't get through.
Conversations can also happen on WhatsApp, which often feels more natural for younger candidates or people on the move.
Stay in control of every decision
The ranking, the answers and each candidate's summary are there to help. You read, you compare and you decide who to meet, then who to hire. Each job has its own kanban board with notes and the full conversation history, and data stays hosted in the European Union.
